Then play the song Scotland the Brave (find details on my other lesson plan link above) and briefly read the history of the song:
Go through each phrase, one by one, having the kids pick the definition that goes with each phrase. For Jr. we’ll just add each definition as we learn each phrase or I may just omit them up all together. Pass out a rhythm instrument to the kids so they can tap out the rhythm as you sing (my other lesson plan link above has suggestions for rhythm instruments). Your completed board will look like this:
